Silkstream’s web design team were asked to design a new brochure website for Cubit Technology Limited.
Who is Cubit Technology Limited?
Cubit Technology was founded in 2004 and provides cloud services and IT support in London to SME’s; responding to support calls, advising on IT strategy and working onsite with businesses.
BEFORE the Website Makeover:
Cubit Technology’s old website no longer met the expectations of today’s internet users in terms of web design and mobile-friendliness. They decided it was time to bring their website into the new generation of web design, and Silkstream were of course happy to help.
The New Website Design:
The new website design features a simple navigation menu similar to the one on their previous website. The homepage features a stunning full-width image of London, where Cubit Technology are based, to emphasise the fact that they are a professional London-based IT support company. The translucent banner over the bottom of the image features a “Make Enquiry” call-to-action button, above the fold where users need it the most, that directs the users to the contact page:
This handy little interactive Google map embedded into the contact page is also on the homepage, so customers or clients looking for directions to Cubit Technology’s headquarters can do so right from the website’s homepage, or open up the Google Maps directions to Cubit Technology from the embedded map.
The home page displays four featured images that link to the landing page of the described service. Using CSS, Adam (Silkstream’s web designer) is able to animate the hover action over each featured image:
As this is a gif image, the animation isn’t as smooth and the image isn’t as high quality as it is on the website.
At the bottom of each page (including the homepage), there is also an animated testimonials slider, that alternates which company testimonial to display so that potential clients can read reviews from notable companies.
“Why choose us” information pages allow the website user to find out more about Cubit Technology, including a Meet The Team page, a Testimonials page and a Case Studies page which the user can browse at their leisure.

Cubit Technology’s website needs to be browsable via mobile devices, especially considering their technology-based industry where their website needs to effectively represent the company. Thanks to responsive web design Cubit Technology’s website, like all of our websites, are optimised for mobile devices so their clients can browse the website from their smartphone or tablet and not have to suffer a poor user experience. All of the website’s content re-scales responsively to the size of the screen, and the navigation menu is hidden away behind a tap of the menu button, beside Cubit Technology’s logo.
