Adam and Tristan, the Silkstream web-wizards, were tasked with the design and development of Fischer Future Heat‘s new bespoke website.
Who are Fischer Future Heat?
Fischer Future Heat provide high quality electric night storage heaters manufactured in Germany, and is the UK’s leading brand of storage radiator. Fischer is the only German storage radiator with unique 40mm fireclay storage system, and officially the best performing German storage heater on the market.
The Design
Clicking the Play icon on their “As Seen on TV” slider opens up Fischer’s TV advert in a cinematic view directly in the slider itself so visitors can watch it without having to leave the website, and in a non-obtrusive layout.
The new design for Fischer features an easy navigation layout so visitors won’t be overwhelmed with menus and confusing choices. Fischer’s products drop-down menu features each of their heater ranges alongside an image of the product for visual aid.
Product pages are designed to look clean and organised, with additional product images to browse, clear Calls-To-Action buttons and freephone contact details for their potential customers. Additional informational content is hidden behind a “Read more” button so it doesn’t break from the clean design and is available for those visitors who require more information about the product.
The Technical Info hub is visually attractive with it’s informational images taken from Fischer’s PDF brochure, which is also linked to within the header menu, to accompany the technical information. The Technical Info pages are rich in content, answering any questions about the benefits of a Fischer heating system.
The new Fischer website also features a Testimonials page that doesn’t just list quotes from their happy customers, but displays them (even the hand-written ones!) in a grid layout, that visitors can click on to bring up in detail and read in full.
The responsive website design of the Fischer Future Heat means that their potential customers will find all the information they want without the hassle of inconvenient multi-directional scrolling. Navigation is easy when browsing the new Fischer website from any mobile device.
Longer bits of content have a handy “Read more” button so that the homepage is kept minimalist, straight to point and simple to browse. That way, any potential customers can get just the information that they’re looking for without the distraction of too much information on their mobile screen resolution.
